We are currently looking to fill the following positions:
Houseplant Department Lead
($18-$20/hour – Full-Time)
As the Houseplants Department Lead, you’ll oversee our vibrant Houseplant Department and Hardgoods subdepartment, ensuring healthy plants, well-stocked displays, and an exceptional customer experience. You’ll play a hands-on role in plant care, merchandising, ordering, and inventory management, while also supervising and supporting team members.
Responsibilities include managing live plant orders and shipments, maintaining the health and appearance of houseplants year-round, merchandising fertilizers and soils, and providing expert guidance to customers on plant care, pest management, and disease prevention. You’ll also take the lead on scheduling, training, and motivating your team to uphold Churchill’s high standards.
Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of experience in a garden center or horticulture-related field, with strong plant knowledge (houseplants, trees/shrubs, perennials, and annuals) and excellent leadership skills. A background in customer service, retail, and merchandising is key, along with the ability to work weekends and holidays in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.

Lead Store Associate
($17-$20/hour – Part-Time/Full-Time)
As a Lead Store Sales Associate, you’ll be the welcoming face of our boutique retail store, helping customers find just what they need while ensuring they have an exceptional shopping experience. From greeting and assisting guests to providing product knowledge, answering questions, and processing sales, your goal will be to generate sales and build lasting customer relationships.
Responsibilities include promoting products, handling customer inquiries, maintaining accurate inventory, merchandising displays, and operating the register. You’ll also play a key role in keeping the store clean, organized, and inviting while supporting your teammates to deliver outstanding customer service.
Our ideal candidate has at least 3 years of customer service or retail experience (boutique retail a plus), excellent communication skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A positive attitude, attention to detail, and willingness to learn about our products are essential, as is the flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
